This is a list of game development, production, and publishing resources that I've compiled from all corners of the web. Many of these have driven my own development, and hopefully they'll do the same for you.
Please reach out if you have something to add to the list! Resource aggregation is one of the main reasons I started this site.
General Resources
Lots of the links in this post derive from content hubs. I've broken them out and categorized them, but I want to be sure to credit the people who have put together some of the most comprehensive resources out there.
The Indie Houses: a collection of publishers focused on improving publisher transparency and helping indie devs succeed. Resources here.
GameDev Business Handbook: the main feature is two books, one on general studio business, the other on budgeting. Both are useful. You'll also find a series of resource links, a budget template, and blog posts (2017 and earlier).
Raw Fury: Raw Fury is an indie publisher who's provided an excellent resource folder to sift through. Most of them are broken out in this article. I think a lot feels pretty outdated--the pitch deck example is bare bones, the budget template isn't my favorite, and I don't love the production document format--but it's still worth going through.
JD's Game Jobs Search Resources: this site isn't focused on helping you search for employment (there are a ton of resources out there, start with amirsatvat.com), but JD's Google Doc includes salary surveys and industry reports that you might find useful.
Market Research
I have a strong preference for Gamalytic. VGInsights is great for macro research, especially when you're researching your genre. SteamSpy is a distant third.

NG+ Marketing Analysis Template: use this to store information on your game's comps (see Market Research for details)
NG+ Production Resources
This section is catch-all for my resources, which you can find scattered throughout the posts on this site.
Budgeting & Finance
There are a lot of budgeting templates out there. I ended up making my own, which draws heavy inspiration from the GameDev Business Handbook Template.

Pitching
I've yet to find a terrific repository of pitch decks online, but I'll post it here if I do.

Pitch Advice
Indie Game Business Discord: they host pitch deck reviews Thursdays at 2pm EST. Generally a great source of knowledge, and lots of talks.

Finding Publishers
Legal
Legal documents tend to be closely guarded, so I respect anyone who posts them. These aren't all that useful, but you might find them interesting.
Publisher Contracts
Whitethorn Games Publishing Agreement
Whitethorn has additional (awesome) transparency info here.
Misc. Legal Docs (NDA, Outsourcing)
Finding Talent
I'd approach the general freelance sites last, though you can find any discipline hanging out on Upwork or Fiverr. I like starting with community Discords, as you'll be able to meet way more people down the road. I'm connected with the Austin and Philly metro areas, so I'll list theirs here. Ping me with yours, and I'll add it!

Austin: ATX Game Makers
Philadelphia: Philly Game Mechanics (PGM)
